Weird.

Yeah there's no body damage whatsoever the only damage listed is as undercarriage and it does not start so ?. So hopefully it's nothing serious. I've bought cars in the past with undercarriage damage before and was nothing more then cracked radiators or bent radiators supports. And this being a high clearance little truck I doubt it's real serious.

should be here in the next hour or so. ill be positng up pics as soon as she comes in :bwgy:. i did get some rather bad news at the auction house though. the vx was not a insurance vehicle it was on consignment meaning more then likely the engine might be blown or maybe in for some serious repairs .

here she is. little dirty

btw i got her running with some carb cleaner and motor sounds fine no knocking of any kind . but she will not stay running fuel pump will not turn on when i turn the key ?

few questions.

1. do these trucks come with a transponder key ? or is it a reg key like the ones you get cut at home depot ?

2.and what wheels fit these trucks i hear you can use 6 bolt chevy wheels is this true.

I would check fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator. Could be something else too I suppose. Glad you got it running. Sounds like a fine deal!!

No to Chevy 6-bolt. Those wheels have a smaller center bore. You want 6 bolt wheels designed for Nissan, Toyota, Isuzu...bigger center bore.

No transponder...same key blank as H D or Wal Mt.

2.and what wheels fit these trucks i hear you can use 6 bolt chevy wheels is this true.

No...same bolt pattern as GM, but we have larger center bore...Toyota wheels & Nissan IIRC, will fit.

Nice score!...

cant wait for the sun to come out :D. i have my mech comming over in the morning to get her fired up.

so far tommorow im installing a set of pro comp wheels on 31s ive had sitting in my garage forever. new plugs maybe an oil change & filter and fuel filter, and i might even order up a new fuel pump im sure the one in there is tired and in need of replacing.

any recommendations on some preventative maintenance i should do or parts i should replace.

VXorado

Replace the PCV with the oil change, grease the rear axle shaft u-joints & run some seafoam through the intake, that'll make her purr.

Congrats on the purchase

Yes and no. Chevy/GM OEM wheels probably won't fit due to the bore issue, but aftermarket wheels are often designed to fit GM, Nissan, Toyota, and Isuzu. Just need to check the bore measurement on anything before you decide either way.

But with a lot of TLC and removing the purple tint (I die), it should be good to go. Plus, you'll learn a whole lot more about your rig than you bargained for. Good luck!

Your 2000 Dragon VX #0475 used to belong to the following fellow members:

"fng1" (Kent, OH), Circa 2007 -- 2008.
"Rapp" (Kent, OH), Circa 2005 -- 2007. Pictures in link below of "Rapp" photo gallery (when it saw much better days).
"DragonVX" (Central Mass, MA), Circa 2000 -- 2004 (owned as a "lease" vehicle).

That's strange. I don't remember them rubbing when I had them on. I think they did when the wheels were cranked all the way in one direction but it still did great offroad. Maybe there are differences in the vehicles. Hope the lift takes care of it and happy roading
