View Full Version : VX Front Grill Emblem
I ordered my VX Emblem a few days ago and I am expecting it to arrive before the weekend. Just curious if anyone has purchased or fabricated a cleaner way to place the emblem on the front grill? Did you just 3M it right over the Isuzu Emblem? Or has someone brainstormed a better way? Thanks everyone.

I think you're gonna want to remove the old emblem & clean the area with alky-hol before the 3M tape.
But, 3M tape is what I've heard works the best.

Don't know where you ordered it from, was it MotorSport Warehouse in Tucson, or did you find a real stainless steel one somewhere? Cuz the Tucson one comes with 3M stickum on the back.
You have to remove the "Isuzu" badge otherwise it will show. Just use a hairdryer and a plastic or other blunt pic (so you don't scratch the plastic) to start lifting it off as it heats up. Took about 15 - 20 minutes tops.

Link for this item?
Yes, it was Motorsport Warehouse in Tucson. Here is the link:

From some of the pics I have seen of other VX Grills, it looks like they have a much larger black plastic casing that surrounds the VX badge. It doesn't appear that the new VX Badge will fit in the old Isuzu Badge casing. Am I wrong or is this something else I will need to locate/order?

The VX emblem fits perfectly in the black rectangle currently taken up by the Isuzu emblem.
Like VX KAT suggested use a hairdryer to heat the Isuzu badge and carefully remove it with something that will not scratch. Use Goo Gone or T4B's Alky-hol to remove left over adhesive residue.
Once it's clean and dry use the 3M tape supplied with the new VX emblem and center in the black rectangle.

The ones at MotorSportWarehouse are made to fit in that space, as the owner himself (Dayle) owns a VX.

Thanks for the link(s). I ended up buying a chrome "V" and a chrome "X" from my local autoparts store. Both Advanced and AutoZone carry the full alphabet in 1" letters. Numbers and symbols too.
Had forgotten about this until today.
Since they are 1" tall and 3-D, I think they will look great. Right price too (at 1.15ea)!
<cheers>
