View Full Version : VX Race Truck

I am looking for a VX that I can turn into an ECORS race truck. Interior can be trashed and body can be beat up, wrecked or whatever. So if someone comes across on that I can use to build into a race truck let me know!

Pretty much describes mine. :)

Might try running it in the "tuff trucks" event at the county fair this year but they require a cross bar welded in behind the front seats and if I'm going to do that I might as well put a decent cage in and remove the backseats but not sure I want to do that quite yet.

Having custom winch bumpers made for it. Going to go this weekend to help out.

Went to a race this weekend and was encouraged to build a truck. I had considered racing the VX I just bought but it is way too nice. So i am looking for a sad VX to make into a monster!:freek:

Yup, I went to a rally race last summer and have been following Bill Caswell's adventures (crazy guy who rally races E30 BMW's) and have been looking for a suitable car to build a cheap beater rally car out of ever since.

Saw that one too. Too nice of a truck for ECORS. The guy I was with started the race with a very nice looking Rodeo. After the 10 lap race both mirrors gone, pretty much dents in every panel. It was awesome!

I bought the one in NY. The body in nice but the frame is rusty! I need a tetnis shot from looking at the pictures. Tranny is bad but interior is nice. I will be selling off the interior and most likely the cladding as well. So let the vulchers start circling! Going to get it this week. Look for a build thread soon. Of note, we will be designing a true winch bumper for this truck as well as a serious rear bumper as well.

The one in Jamestown. It was on ebay with a starting bid of $1,000.00. It is a 99 Astral silver.

Hey, Jamestown! That is where I got stranded about 5 years ago while driving my RS Trooper home... the water pump blew and took out the timing belt.
