Guys:
I've been personalizing like mad, but haven't posted. Here's a sidemarker idea that I like. I bought from ebay for initially 17 then 10 shipping. Theyu're LED and are white. Judging on response, I'll post what I did. If not, hey, I really like em. What I DIDN'T like abouts ours is that they suck with that terrible visible screw....and needed an updated look. Anyway, here they are:

They look great.
If you don't mind...Do you have some pics of the headlights? I noticed the you painted the shroud silver and would like to see some different angles.

I'll snap some. I didn't like the way they disappeared against dark paint. The only other option was to use dark covers making the whole light dark...

Thanks, that would be great. I've been working on a headlight design to get rid of the contrast to between the grey shroud and silver reflector. Painting the shroud silver seems like a nice alternative to blacking out the headlights with covers or projectors.

Interesting! They look good against a dark color even though they have a lot of chrome. I bet they would look even more at home on lighter colors.

If it's not broken don't fix it. (But if they are broken, that looks good.)

Hey guys:
I'm trying to upload pics not thumbnails but this is just madness. I'm pretty tech savvy, but this is simply not intuitive. Can some one filll me in? I've seen a lot of complaints about it, but there must bne a way...I've even tried hosting them elsewhere nothiong...
this is the headlight up close. simemarker can be seen. The sidemarker was disassembled (just three screws) and put in hte oven without LEDs and clear cover at 200 for FIVE minutes so I could bend just a tiny bit to fit curve of our cars.

this is the way it is mounted. I used a universal metal plate and after inserting a screw about 1.5 inches long in the sidemarker, I just put the plate on the inside of the fender, added some auto double tape to the sidemarker and flushed up against the plate. Attached one nut and voila. It's held nicely for a few days now.

yeah, not everyone's cup of tea, but like i said, I couldn't live with that very horrible screw showing. Who does that?? Not to mention this gives a totally modern look.

Sad...I originally got for 17 plus shipping, but now cannot find them for under about 30 plus shipping. this is a pair I bought when I had to replace clear lense after miostakenly leaving that part on in the oven...oh well. To me worth it becuz I did not like the original look.

oh, btw...it needs a "tail" to cover screw hole in fender. Thois can be done a few ways: just use a trim strip bought anywhere, or I had a "spear" trim strip I was going to use on the hood...I just cut the tip. It came from a Corvette. I bought in Corvette forums for like 30 for both sides. Here's a piece from a "flair" kit at local store. Would work too, but I weanted the spear tip.
