rolling down the driver side window to a small pop sound stopped for a second went to roll back up and bang. The wire that runs on the little pully track for the window snapped. Had to pop off the door panel and manually hold window up while using part of the wire left over to wrap around and tie off to hold up the window. Where in the world can I get a replacement for this? Motor seems fine just need the metal wire? Side note VX should hit 200k next week and running strong!

Window Regulator.
Call Merlin for a replacement. $95.91 is the price listed on the site.
I did mine not too long ago

How much of a pain was it. Didn't look like a lot of room to get hands in there.

You have to remove it. There are about 6 nuts holding it on.
Tape window in the up position. (you might have to move it slightly up or down to be able to reach things.
remove the door panel (instructions somewhere on this site)
Gently remove the power connector from the window motor
Remove window from regulator track.
then remove the nuts holding the regulator on
remove the regulator
remove motor from old regulator and put it on new regulator (dont strip the screws)
then reverse the process.
These steps might not be in exactly the right order, but I am confident you will figure it out. Its pretty straight forward if you take your time.
