Need help with new look.

Hey all, well I have been running around this thought for the past few years, but every time i look into it, I change my mind. I want to change the side decal, but I still really like it. Whats ur advice people, do u guys think I should change it? Or keep it? or what else do u guys think. I really like a decal, cuz I like to stick out from the VX crowd, thats just me, I'm not a chameleon :winko:, nothing wrong with that, i like that look as well, but that just not me. So I like to stick with the idea of something on the side. I'm asking for advice or tips, cuz I have made my decision alone by my self like 5 times, now, its time to ask. So spit out ur thoughts, opinions, dislikes, whatever, I'm very open minded, and accept criticism and likes. So the mic is all urs guys and gals :bgwo: .

P.S. Do u guys think, this will change the CC look u guys know about and ruin it?
And NO flames, sorry thats just YUCK to me.

Other then the side decal, what do u guys think of getting my roof painted black as well, like the hood? Just with less gloss.

I guess I'd first need to know which current decal you're talking about. In the pictures listed in your posts, your VX is shown with different side decals in different pictures.

Regardless of which one you're currently using though, are you saying you want something totally different than ANY of the decals you've used in the past? If that's the case, in my opinion, the new choice should be based on one of your other personal interests or on the theme of the overall look you're going for. For instance, are you thinking high-tech, off-road, tribal, urban assault...Hello Kitty :p ?

Basically, something that has personal meaning to you.

I'd be more apt to go along with a black roof if there weren't white side pillars. Some newer vehicles can get away with black roofs easier because of the way the side pillars are behind the glass making everything blend together better. With the VX though, your white side pillars would just up and stop making them look out of place in my opinion. As for the hood, I personally think the hood insert is enough for the same reason.

I like your current side decal and can't think of a design that would look better. Why do you want to change it? If you change it, what are you looking for in the new design i.e. what's yours missing?

I have the red scratch one on right now. Ummmm, well i just want to try something new. basically thats it. for likes, i want the rally look. i was thinking of a blown up red isuzu emblem, not the words, but the actually emblem. what u guys think?

I agree with ya orado, the decal i have i do love, n hard to find something thats not to tacky or looks good. Thats why this is a hard decision, & help is needed :)

That's a good idea. Like your current decal, you could angle the symbol upward across the rear windows.

I have a Rally VX wallpaper and I noticed it has a front light bar & a ram intake on the hood. Other than those two things, your VX seems to have the complete rally look.

orado, I love those 2 VX's, actually the proton is the one I have used to inspire many of my ideas, like the black hood. I really would like to have sponsors, but I refuse to put any brand on my VX unless I have a part from that company on my VX already. That huge door number decal is what I really want. I saw a real rally one a long time ago on ebay, when I return to buy it a few weeks later, it was gone. :(. now that u put that picture next to those 2, its hard now to think of getting rid of the current decal, dang it orado, lol. Maybe I add the Isuzu decal some how on it. I'll figure it out.

BTW gasmask, I have that 87 Impulse in my GT5 game I dropped it, paint it yellow, and has over 300hp. She is fast and fun to drive in the game. How is she in real life? They are hard to find.

Thanks. And kinda hard to find I suppose. I think I just got lucky. I wanted one, and I started inquiring on the Isuzone.org forum. I got a PM from a guy in Arizona who had this perfect 87, the rest is history. But yes, in general, they are very rare, and very hard to find in good shape. Most of the ones left are pretty trashed.

Glad you are keeping the red vinyl I think it looks great! Only thing I would add is some lights on the front like VXorado has or try and find one of the JDM lightbars or something similar.

I was going to say add some mudflaps but it looks like there are some in your signature pics. Are you running them still? Did you make them or find some place that has them already? I like the look of them on yours 'cause it completes the look but I don't think they would look right on my truck.

I do want lights in the front, but till I get some good amount of extra flow, Its on hold. Cuz I want to get a pre-runner bar and add 4 off road foggies on it. I did add the flaps back on, but still need knew one. Those flaps I bought on the sparco website. But they also sell them on ebay.

Well u made me think of something, and gave me an Idea pbkid, can u amazing photoshop crazy good peeps do me a favor and take this photo, and change the rims to this RED color rims and the red decal on the side, and top left windshield decal as well and the red hook on the bottom left.

Oh agree Mae. If I go green, I'm ditching red all together. I mean painting and changing all my red with green. So yeah yuck if i kept the red and added green.

What number and style do you want? Got any pics for reference? Also, since I don't actually own a VX - some basic measurements of the door would be needed to get the proportions right.

I also say no to the green. White/red/black to me is rally style. Leave the fluorescent green to the stanced crowd.

Well i don't have photoshop so i figured to try it on my model to see how it would look. Not sold yet on the rims, but the decal i do like. Different for sure though. Also painted the roof black. Plus I gave my model a 4 inch lift too :bgwo: What u guys think?

I think it needs to be white with the red decal, with black wheel centers with red lips. Black hood is cool. I just think the green does not provide enough contrast on a white car. If the VX was black with the green wheels/decal, that would be a different story.

I think Chris is spot on...if the Green we dark like the Dragon Green Mica color it would look much better. Just MHO.

Thanx for doing this Mae. Here is an idea of what I like. But I don't want a number on it, that something that can be added on top later if I ever can get a chance to join any small fun rally cross in florida. But its the same idea. I would like it to say on top *BHC* VX Rally in smaller font, right below say in larger font say vehicross.info <---that can be my first sponsor that i will represent everywhere I go, if thats ok with this site that is of course :D. The top background color can be what ever my new decal is, and same with the border. You can be as creative as you want, add to or take away what ever u like Mae. Surprise me, thanx so much again Mae. I really appreciate this a lot.
Oh and please add a small Costa Rican flag anywhere on it for me 2 please, ty :) .

I found a way to do a simple color change on the green model you painted so you can see it with other colors; I did not have time to do anything with the wheels so you will have to us your imagination on that. I also am not good enough to add the decals and I am short on time so I did not have time to learn how to do that right now, maybe when things slow down I will have time to learn how to use more things in Photoshop. I do have a cool plug in called Topaz in my Photoshop, it does cool quick effects so I did a couple of your others pictures just for fun, hope you like them.

I too like the red the best, I say do some red or white on the wheels and call it good. The other two pics are made to look cartoonish so at least they look to you as I intened them to look. There are so many effects I can do I have just started to see what the Topaz can do.
