I just bought my first vx with a bad motor. I have a 99 rodeo with a 3.2 and I wonder if the 3.2 will work in the 99 vx.

i have also wondered about this - the 3.2l engines seem to be cheaper and more abundant - and im pretty sure the japanese versions had the 3.2l but i could be wrong
I believe you would need to figure out a way to move the ECU, along with the 3.2, into it's new VX home.

I swapped 3.2 instead the seized original one. Identical fit. The only difference is the cylinder bore

Actually, the only difference is the cylinder stroke.
The bore is the same size.

Will I need to change computers? Or will the vehicross computer work?

thanks for the correction PK,
if your 3.2 is DOHC, then no computers swap needed. just the engine

Man this is fantastic. I was thinking I would have had to buy a new motor. Great I should have my first vx up and running the end of next month
