View Full Version : Power Button Issue

A few winter's back, I dumped some snow on my Power/Winter switch. Winter mode works great. Power mode does nothing...no light, no change in shift points. I called Merlin, slapped in a brand new switch...no luck.
I've checked fuses...I looked at a wiring diagram, but as MSHardeman can attest, I struggle with following connections!
Is there some other servicable part that I may have damaged? Anyone traced down an issue like this one?

Sump'n sticky got spilled in mine too but it still works. Sorry I can't help.
I'd double check the fuses to make sure that it didn't blow the first time you pushed the button.

Do the "Power Drive" and "Winter Drive" indicators on the dashboard light up when you push the buttons?

I checked fuses...
Winter light comes on...and it works...
Power light does not come on....and it does not work.

I'll have to check the wiring diagram but the two aren't necessarily on the same circuit.

Looks like I need a new PCM?

I saw that in your first post.
My question was actually regarding whether the PCM may have been damaged by the snow you also mentioned. Good luck.
