I have over 135,000 miles with original brakes and pads. I'm waiting for the brake indicators to start squealing. Once or twice I had the brake fluid changed and I'm thinking about doing it a third time this year, but that's it. Anyone else with original brakes and pads for over 11 years now? The best brake pads ever made, or am I a braking genius?

I'm on originals as far as I can tell. I have tons of records and no brake repairs or replacements...:bwgy::smilewink:bgwo::bgwb:

Just replaced the front pads at 127000. I had a 93 trooper that I put 175000 on the original pads. I changed them just before I sold it. Isuzus are known for the breaks lasting a long time.

I've got 85K on mine, and counting.

Just turned 86K - front and rear pads have PLENTY of meat left; meanwhile, ZERO squeaking, almost NO brake dust, no rotor wobble, no caliper leaks. Original shocks too - no leaks there either!

I DID replace the original battery after 10 years; it was still working fine, I was just getting "nervous" that it was 10 years old and all. Never a "Check Engine" light, never an ABS light, never a TOD light. Just changed out the original serpentine belt - had a few hairline cracks in it. Uses just under a quart of oil (Mobil One 10W-30 Fully Synthetic) every 5K miles. I had to mess w/the driver's side window for ~30 minutes 3 years ago to re-adjust it in the tracks; it's worked fine ever since...

I guess I lucked out and got one of the "good" ones; original owner lived in the high desert in CA and took really good care of it, as have I. Not a single spot of rust anywhere underneath; paint looks better than new. People ask me all the time if it's a 2012 model. 3 years of ownership and 30K miles - I've never been happier for this long with a vehicle before!

yup....still have the originals too
I liked them so much, I got two spare sets for both axles before Isuzu went out.
I highly recommend the stainless brake lines though.....better pedal feel
( you'll stop just the same as before)

I just changed the front last month. I had about 128,000 on them.
Peace.

131,800 on the original front pads and rotors. The rears were swapped out at 107k because they were corroding from the inside out. I've already got the OEM replacements in a box for my next visit, which could be next week. They still work fine (no pulsing or pulling), so the dealership may just tell me to wait...again.

yes - and I thought I was losing my mind. Glad to hear it's figment of my imagination - just good brakes!

Around 170,000 Original brakes. Now about my pads, well heck no. I'm on like my 4th set sense I owned it.
