Yeah, stopped at a light and got hit. Young girl (17) and friends didn't see me stop, I guess. She was doing about 40-50mph. Her car: Jeep Grand Cherokee. My car left the scene on it's own power! Hers: on a flatbed wrecker!
I hope that they can save my VX!
All the cops at the scene kept going on and on about my VX. They wanted to know what kind of "tank" it is and how it could survive this impact relatively unscathed!
I'll post some pics if I can figure it out!
Wish me and my insurance company luck!

Sorry to hear. Glad you're ok. Wow, that Jeep is trashed.

Glad everyone is okay...Nate here in Parker, CO has a rear door if you need one.

He has it posted for sale in a spare parts thread...

Best wishes...

Yeah, the Jeep took it pretty hard! I'm totally amazed at how well my VX held up. It's seriously a heavy duty rig and I'm glad we were in it instead of the convertible. We would have been toast if we drove the Spyder!
I'm hoping that there isn't any frame damage, but it drives fine so I think I'm okay. Just a new door and some new cladding probably. Hey, might be time to install that hidden hitch I've been reading about on the other thread!

Glad to hear you and all involved are alright. Sucks to be in the Jeep...Hope you can get all the necessary parts for the VX. Good luck.

I hate starting my week reading threads like this.:sighy:

Glad you are OK. I hope you find the parts you need quickly.

These Vxs are tough little buggers!

Hmmmm.....an ebony VX and a Spyder?...... Sounds familiar (unless you are talking about a different Spyder)

Sorry to hear about your accident, but that picture is AWESOME.....

really glad you are ok it sucks to get blindsided like that - not the first time ive heard of a vx being a jeep killer though - the cops are gonna be trying to find a 2013 vx for the swat team to drive now

Very very Sorry! Make sure to see a chiropractor if you haven't already.

Any news yet on fixing your rig?

Lemme know if you want to pull the trigger on the hitch.

JAMAS! That's so weird, right? Yes, that's the kind of Spyder.
Tom, I'm waiting for the official police report then we start the negotiations with her insurance company. I'm hoping to make out like the proverbial bandit. If so, then I'm pulling the trigger on that hitch!

Oh man... this type of thing is my worst nightmare! (Well... being eaten alive by a bear is to be honest. But, this is a very close second).

I'm glad youre ok. I truly hope your VX is back in business soon!

VX - full box frame
Heep - unibody

Not hard to figure out. I freakin hate unibodys. Hope it all gets back to normal again
