So, when I got my VX it had this custom made thing on the grill. It was painted black, but pitted from the road so you could see the silver of the machined aluminum underneath.

I got tired of it, because it looked boring. So I did this. What do you guys think? If I end up not liking it I can always strip it and do something else. I like having the Isuzu logo covered because then people have to ask me what it is (it's debadged everywhere else).

Taste is subjective

Im actually fond of the bigger Vx, and I think it also gives it an animal look. everyone always refers to the vx as kind of animalistic.

I like the vampire look! I'm thinking of adding the new style batman symbol to the front of my ebony. I don't think any other VX owner has done that yet.

I think it looks awesome! Stands out a little more and goes well with the other fangs already there.

Are you saying the ISUZU logo plaque is still UNDER the VX logo you just painted?

If it is, you can easily remove it....use a hair dryer to warm it up, then gently start peeling it at one end, it will come right off w/o much effort. Once off, I sprayed painted the back area with flat back, covered up a few little scratches I made when removing it.

Yes the plaque is still there. It's also been drilled through, so even if I take the nameplate off, the backplate in the grille will have the holes in it that a previous owner drilled to mount the metal fangs. So I may as well leave things as they are. Although I am tweaking my paint job somewhat.

It reminded me of this post...& I "quote"...

The VehiCROSS was perhaps the quintessential angry car, with searingly outraged eyes and chrome fangs. As a small two-door off-road demon, it was the spiritual successor to the Amigo, but where the Amigo was a cheerful friend, the VehiCROSS looked like it wanted to rip your face off before consuming your soul.

I recognize that VX as formerly belonging to the Bimster...:yesgray:

I filled in the letters. I'm sure it will get pitted and worn in a month or less. We'll see.
