I have searched and searched and can't find a haynes or chilton service manual or repair manual or anything in paperback. Does anyone know of anywhere to get one that's not on cd or pda? And I can't seem to find on this site anything of engine replacement. I am starting the replacement very soon and I have only changed one engine 7 years ago and am a bit rusty. Anyone know where I can find some info?

There's a pdf copy here:

http://www.vehicross.info/modules.php?name=Downloads&file=viewarticle&id=20

You can just find the pages/sections in it & print on any printer.

or

You could give Kinko's a call & see how much they would charge to print the whole thing & bind it for you.

Don't feel bad, there isn't a Haynes or Chiltons for 2nd gen Troopers either, and there were a LOT more of those on the road.

Yes, that is the actual Isuzu shop manual.

in my experience so far the vets on this site are probably just as much if not more informational than manuals - and they usually have much better pictures

yeah...have to agree....
In case some of the newer owners don't know.....there's been much discussion about this....
conclusion is our 3.5l is a NON-INTERFERENCE engine....
I found this about 2 years ago at my mechanics shop:
