hello. some of you may know what if have gone threw with my overheating problem and how it was resolved ( professionaly flushing it out) a couple of years ago. the guy said its at about 80% compaired to the 40% it was at and had no problems with it till now 2 years later.
I am guessing its getting clogged again so i am looking into getting a aftermarked radiator. I looked on ebay and there are tons so my question is did anyone replace theirs and what brand did you go with ?
I want something better than oem if possible but dont want to spend crazy amount.
also did a search and really couldnt find the total specs on our radiator does anyone know them?
thnks

If you want better than oem then ebay is probably not the way to go. Most of the cheap replacements there are well, cheap. OEM is probably your best bet.. Upgrading will cost $$. The only upgrade I am aware of is the aluminum radiators that VXKAT and a few others are running made by Griffen but it is not cheap

ALL parts house's will/can supply replacements, it's who you like to do business with.
Me, I like NAPA, have never had any issues with them to include using them as my supplier when I was a vehicle manager for a small taxi/ambulance company. Have always stood behind their products. Am replacing my radiator with one of theirs in the next few weeks. I paid $184.00, no core charge, but I do get a small discount.

Both "newthings" (Roy) and I had a custom all aluminum radiator made by Ron Davis racing in Phoenix.

Pics of OEM VS. CUSTOM RON DAVIS ALUMINUM RADIATOR.
Can see the custom one is deeper than OEM, FINS are deeper
Fins are 2.25" deep vs. OEMs of 1.5"

Thanks. I'm sure it's not for everyone, but since the OEM was $420 and this one was $600, I decided that extra was worth it to me.

wow, $420 seems really expensive for a radiator to me? It's not VX specific, its the same as the trooper right?
mine was only $200 in MOAB, where i thought for sure i would be marked up 50%. Granted, it is a toyota vs. isuzu, but I've always thought that generic stuff on the vx was pretty cheap.

That's Merlin's price.....actually just looked again, it's $445.
The generic ones are as low as $70 on ebay.
