Had a spike in blood pressure, went to the ER.Checked me out a little and said why don't you go to this place for meds...INSANE ASYLUM
took my belt, shoe laces ect. They would not let me out even though they said I could leave anytime since I went in voluntarily.
It was literally like "One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" I was the Jack Nickelson character. I kept raising hell...so here, Scott have some meds...Zombeville I couldn't walk after that.:bgwb:
I would still be in there if it wasn't for some really agressive friends on the outside!
The paper work said in for 5 days before I ever saw a doctor!
Insurance scam! There were several people in there for no reason.
One guy went to the ER just to get out of work.He said he was depressed...BOOM couldn't get out.
He was still in there when I left.
BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY TO DOCTORS!!!:mado:

Scott!!!!! Holy crap! I'm sending you my best wishes, buddy. I'm especially worried because some of the medications out there are definitely "cures worse than the diseases." Please send me a PM or email if they sent you home with meds.
VX crazy

This is something happening more often then what we all think, scott
Good you "escape" from that place,Dr's & nurses ( with some exceptions,of course ) are all a huge swamp of piranhas looking to eat the flesh out of us in a minute.
Welcome back to freedom.

I believe in what you said, Gussie.
For the second time in my life I've now been put on "medication for life." I think the instant that happens a person is instantly transformed from a regular PATIENT into a regular PAYMENT and the quality of health care decreases dramatically. :_mecker:

Is it just me or wouldn't this fall under kidnapping and wrongful imprisonment? And I'd think that forcing medication on you would be assault. I dunno, just my nonprofessional .02. I'm far from the sue happy type, but this is one instance where I would say it is time to call a lawyer.

The hospital staff will just claim he presented with mental health issues and that they held him for observation and testing. He could sue, but I'll bet it wouldn't stick...the courts will just conclude he was in no way harmed and that it may have saved his life, given "The Facts"!

Plus I signed a million documents without reading the fine print.Valium head!
I'm sure I signed all my rights away!
I was supposed to get BP meds, be observed a day or two and let go.
They just wanted my insurance $$$
Like i said in an earlier post,The more people I talk to,I've discovered that this happenes alot if you have good insurance.
If I didn't have insurance they wouldn't have let me in:p

The staff during the week were A**holes. Saturday morning nice people.I was out within hours, plus my BP was back to normal
I think I know what might have caused my spike in BP.
I quit taking my Multi-vitamin cold turkey and forgot about all the herbal combos in it.
Iwas talking to people in the vitamin dept at Whole Foods about it.They pointed out that some of the herbal combos helped with BP,plus Adrenal gland support. I have taken this daily for years,so my adrenals were probably freaking out.
Be careful...even with OTC stuff:yesb:
