Does anyone know the type of bulbs used in the yellow accent light on top of the head light. I'm ref. to the one in the flare bump in the headlights, mine are a yellowish color. I am trying to replace them w. brighter LEDS.
Thanks!

Wisdom is to be imparted, not to be taken...BS, I know, but it sounded good! Not sure on the light specs though. :rotate:

You can pick up the yellow (amber) LED's at your local PepBoys automotive, It's LED194 on the package.... also available at Autozone and other toy stores. I think they were $15 for a set... available in red too (rear sidemarkers).

well you should only have to impart it on me once, then i can impart it to others, so in theory everything you all teach me could end up saving you time - its a win win :yesy:

thanks! i use headlight covers and they dull the original bulbs back a bit so i wanted something brighter and maybe a different color(s) for a change - im assuming the led's are brighter

The LED's are 2 to 3 times brighter in the horn position. I put a set of color changing LED's in there. changes 7 diferent colors.
My original yellow 194's were so washed out (old), they barely were still yelllow.

i got black gto but sent them back for the carbon fiber because the black were VERY dark using stock headlight bulbs and i had to take them off at night - the carbon fiber (which is basically just black with a bunch of tiny holes in it) works much better if you jsut want to leave them on all the time - but if you do go with black they could not be any easier to put on and take off

can you control what color they are or do they just circulate through them?

The bulbs criculate through the 7 different colors... still trying them out. Waiting to see if the fuzz will pull me over for them. You can only see them up close. so I'm not that concerned.

yeah, autolumination (and their sister site ctlumination) is very hard to navigate through. Several of us have bought from them. I had a problem with one bulb, they did exchange it, but it was just a hassle.
I then bought several Chinese cheapies on ebay....and ALL of them burned out very quickly, and in one case, they self destructed when Jack touched it, and split like a banana peel.
So next, many of us have found "V-LEDs". LittleBeast has used them for quite a while and found them to be top notch!
They're more expensive, but they have much higher quality items. They come in anti-static packages, and customer service is top rate.
When I bought some expensive red tower bulbs for my brake lights....I dropped one when pbkid was installing them for me in Moab. It didn't break, but it didn't go brighter when the brakes were applied, and 3 LEDs were out. So Jack installed it as is and I called to buy another when I got back home.
When I explained I'd dropped it cuz I'm a super klutz, the guy said he'd send me one for free. With that type of cust service, I'm a customer for life!

Glad to hear they sent you out a new one Sue!
I was curious how they were gonna handle that. Did get everything working now?

I bought two different LED flasher modules to replace the OEM, my mechanic tried both...didn't correct the rapid flash....took it to the stereo shop, they installed another resistor (in the front turn signal housing) and everything flashes correctly now...:dan_ban:
evil- I got my red, amber and white tower LEDs for taillights from them, I picked all the super blinding bulbs they had. One set was on sale...some killer deal IIRC.
