Just a question, could not find an easily found answer here....

Has anyone tapped into/used those black rubber door boots in the middle of the door hinges to run wiring from the cabin/dash into the door, if so, how/where do you get access to the boot openings/ends?
Assume one end can be accessed if you remove the door panels? Do you have to remove the front wheel inside splash shields to get the other side? Does that lead back into the cabin? Any shared experience would be most appreciated.

Thanks!!

I remember doing this and it was super easy. Yes I believe once you have eveything apart wires go nicely into cabin. If wires are giving you problems a small spray of silicone lubricant should do.

Figured it out...for what it's worth...took door panels off, had dash apart already especially near the kick corners, ran a long zip tie through the door side boot opening and found it peeking through a hole in the cabin front fender areas under the dash, grabbed it, taped wire leads to the zip tie, pulled zip tie back through door and there ya go!
