I’ll be bringing several kits to LA that include the popper, pin switch and door release solenoid.

Just a quick question/ thought. If we had a heavier duty pin switch...would a popper really be needed (also)? Alternatively, what about dual heavy pin switches only, one for interior light and another for alarm? That might eliminate the need for a popper entirely.
