After 20 back and forth conferences with this scatter brained chick, I scored a Thule 696 just 16 miles from home. Spending my day off installing it as well as exploring how to incorporate a rack from Thule to clamp down my snowboard. Yay!

I have the two top rubber strips already cut to fit the 696 installation...any chance we could swap your intact strips for these?

What strips are you referring to?

She means the weatherstripping on the top of the factory cross bars. The recommended installation for the 696 involves cutting that strip to slide T-bolts into the channel.

The black rubber strip running the length of each bar, about 1" wide.

GB- what do you think? I'll be happy to pay you for the swap. I sent a PM.
Or did you already do the install?
