Hey, so I tried searching but no luck...but my search skills aren't as good as some poeples :winky:

Anyways, trying to get my VX fixed, and the shop said I wouldn't be able to get it fixed until march since there are no fuel shields in the US, asked Merlin too! Doh! Problem is I leave back for Japan on the 24th!

So, anybody know if this will work for sure?

The shop said since it's a trooper part it might not fit, oi, although I just read it and they said htey don't ship to hawaii..haha just my luck.

If you are talking about the skid plate that covers the tank I believe they are different. However the VX should be driveable without it unless they are concerned about a safety issue?
Custom fab is always an option....may be pricey though.

Doh!

Well, yeah the VX has been driveable the entire time, was just hoping to get it done before I had to leave and ask a favor of something. Anybody wanna stop by Hawaii to take my VX in for repairs? :D

Maybe you could score us some JDM pieces....is it possible?

The oem cross ref shows that the 99-01 Trooper uses the same gas tank as the 99 VX. It is resonable to asume that the skid plate would also be the same.
