Simple one...is it easy to change? Is there an easy way..

On mine the drivers side one was easier because of the flex joint in the pipe, the passenger one took alot more wrestling and cursing!

Which flange are you talking about? The three bolt flange at the header is a chore. IFRC it uses 17mm bolts and were not easy to get to. I used an extra-long socket extender with a swivel joint at the socket and a cheater bar to break it loose. Definitely left some skin on the underside of the car. The other flanges using two 14mm bolt were fairly easy as long as you can get the bolts loose.

i need to get that apart as well so i can get to my starter - looks like a serious pita so i might just bring it to exhaust guy he said it would be no prob when he looked at it

Yes the 3 bolt . So it's easier from under than thru wheel well? I just want to Get loose enough to slide new one in. Hopefully not breaking Exh. bolts.. I always hate anything to do with exhaust near heads...The fear of SNAP!!!

Oh, as for other flanges my bolts were welded so an air grinder with small disc helped.

I was doing this on a '98 Trooper. I haven't done my VX yet. I assume the access is the same. It might be possible through the wheel well but those inside bolts would be a MF.
