My fuel filter is leaking gas. Any tips for changing it?

Clamp the hose before removing them to prevent fuel from leaking every where. Remove the screws that hold it to the frame rail (passenger side, just aft of mid way). Loosen clamps, disconnect hoses. Replace filter.

Remove the fuse for the fuel pump and let it run till it dies to remove pressure. Even with that and clamping the hoses you will still get some fuel on you as it drains out of the filter when you remove it.

There's a really good tutorial somewhere - I use small vise-grip pliers that have tape over the teeth to clamp the hoses. Drain the filter into a large metal coffee can and make sure you have both nitril gloves and glasses on. It can be hard to get the rubber hose off, but if you twist the tube first it comes off easier...

Thanks for all the advice I got it done. It would of been a little easyier if it did not snow last night. Bracket rusted on bad.
