My wifes VX lost her low beam headlights last week. high beams work, just not the low beams. I thought maybe it was a fuse so I changed the head light fuse with another and no luck. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Soggy

this would be very coincidental, but bulbs maybe?
high beam and low beam are separate filaments. Sometimes separate bulbs.

Soggy,
Are you running HID lights or OEM?
If you've converted to HID, check all of your ground connections. Bad ground causes some pretty strange effects.
If you're still running OEM bulbs, try picking up some silver star bulbs from your local parts store. They aren't much more expensive than regular bulbs & you'll like the extra illumination.
I can't remember if the low & high beams are on different fuses or the same one. Remember that there may be 2 (one in the cabin & one under the hood).

well, I wouldn't think the bulbs (filiament, if oem) would go out at the same time. Ground is a possible cause. There is another possible cause, the headlight switch on the turn signal switch. I have seen unusal problems in other vehicles with these when they wear out.

I checked the fuse under the hood. Didn't know there was a fuse panel in the cabin??? I will check it out next and let you guys know what I find. Where is the cabin fuse box located?
Thanks

left knee when you're driving.
I think there's one there for the head lights!!!

When you open the door its on the side of the dash. I don't see anything on the cover about headlights. All the other exterior lights have a fuse line here.
edit: under the hood fuse box... has a fuse for each headlight and what looks like a relay (left side), says eb-20?

I had a similar issue in an old Rodeo of mine. I just changed the bulb and it fixed the issue. But later on it shorted out and I lost my low beams again. Could have been an electrical issue, but it definitely made the bulbs blow out in low beams, but my highs still worked.

Checked all the fuses and all looked ok. I am assuming I have a short somewhere. Looks like it will be going to the repair shop!!

OK I am back on my no low beam issue with the wifes dragon. I found this on a YO site http://www.yotatech.com/f116/high-beams-dont-work-100088/ My question is are there some similar contacts on the VX that could need cleaning.

I would think that we have a fairly similar setup in ours. I haven't taken mine apart though so can't be sure.

Is there a link on how to pull the steering wheel?

My low beams went out a while back, but the the cause was quite obvious: the switch box (controls for wipers, lights, etc.) below the steering wheel started smoking while I was driving at night, basically burning up. Pulled over, turned off engine, waited, and, when I started it back up, only my high beams worked. Only thing I did out of the ordinary that night was play with the dash brightness control. Low beams were flickering after that, before it started smoking. Hope yours isn't so serious! Had to get the whole switch box replaced for $400+

Im having an issue lately, my RH headlight only works correctly.
and my LH headlight has power to both Low and High at the same
time and both are dim, so my guess its taking 12v and splitting it
into 6v per wire. I checked the ground and it was fine, so Im thinking
its the headlight switch in the column. Ive seen them go bad on other
cars and cause similar issues, esp if dirt / sand or build up of crud gets
stuck in there.
Can the switch be replaced without pulling the sw ?
I was going to pull the cover off tomorrow, but figured it couldnt
hurt to ask for some info here first.... thanks.

JAMAS & Tom correctly diagnosed the problem I had. A simple replacement of the bulbs cured the problem, kinda strange in my opinion, but a true story!!
