Big thanks to Eric (Big Red Trooper/moab) and his wife Andy for helping out..
...got all the way to San Diego, then Erics truck spewed tranny fluid everywhere.

She's safely tucked in my garage awaiting attention...after Moab!

Oh, c'mon... That'll buff right out.
But yeah, sad to see our species take one step closer to extinction. Like you said though, it will live on in some way or another. Good luck, I'm sure the whore will be a grateful recipient. I'm glad it's going to a good home.

Yea...nothing some bondo and a rattle can cant fix :o
Real issue is the frame/pillar...
Ya can sorta see in the pic...the drivers side door is about 1.5 inches off/low.
Impact drove the front suspension into frame...hood folded up and bust through
windscreen and twisted pillar.
Still ....given she's the same color inside and out as the ORW....
....she'll be a great source of parts for years to come.

VehiCRAWLER incoming!
Took my VX in to get an alignment after doing the sway bar bushings and...got to buy a new steering centerlink and new pads and rotors for the rear :/
But...I vow to keep my VX alive! And other than a quick oil change she is SO READY for Moab!

With a pocket full of your money I could come over and tow it down the street to StinkyFab in a weekend :)

Wow, looks almost exactly like my head on impact. Looks like the driver was lucky enough not to get the suspension/wheel/tire shoved up through the floorboards like mine did though. 0_o

Looks like that unusable front cladding would make a nice practice piece for the "showroom new" process.
Cut it up into envelope sized pieces so folks could try their desired method of cladding restoration before applying it to their actual cladding.
Just a thought

Yea..amazing Huh!
how in the heck did the grille survive that?!!
This VX went under the back of an F150...maybe a lifted one ??...
...so it go 'scalped'
Great thing is...it missed the engine completely ( radiator/fan/air box etc are toast)...so thats a great "spare" to have.

A far as parts are concerned...
Please dont ask for any....:whiteflag:
I am going to let her sit till mid June...
.......and chew over my options.
( after Moab, and then a trip to the UK to see my Mom )..
If and when I have parts I dont want to stash for myself.......
..I'll put them up for sale...or I'll respond to general "wanted" posts.
Thanks

Must of been the titanium fangs that deflected the F-150 from the grill. ;Do;
