Grats. Looking good.
Is that $30 per car or $30 per light?
Either way it's cheaper than 'round here (best price I've seen is $70/car)
Nice Work!! Just polished mine and sealed them!!

What would it cost to do my VX headlights if I mailed them to you? I am sure I can find a local, but I would rather help a fellow member. (I am pretty sure you would have to do the inside as well)

When it comes to making a car look pretty, Hcloud13 is the one.

You can say that again Mike. If he weren't so far away I'd take my car to him once a month.

Hi
It's 30$ per set/car and takes about an hour. I can do the lights on or off the car.
If on I just tape around the edges
What the other places like wal-mart do is a light sand and apply a film. probem is after a month or so it wears off and the haze comes back.
Same with the kits you buy at the auto places,it's that cheep film crap.
Also there are fine scratches left on the light.
What I do is actually REsurface them,so it also takes care of any nicks or deep scratches from day to day driving over the years along with the clouding/Hazing.
So far my V is going 7 months and my oldest car I did is going 2 years without it coming back.
Also some times if need be I can do the otherside by taking the light apart. But that's vary rare...only if water or due get in it.
To keep it that way once I'm done I recommend just a light waxing of the lights when you wash and wax your car to protect the from UV.
I'm located in Brooksvile FL about an hour north of tampa.
Also you can mail the lights to me as long as you pay return shipping.
And lastly how I do it? thats an old recipe lol

Hey Chris
I got the Lights in today and just finished up.
My god...I like a good challenge now and then, but these were pretty bad lol.
There are a couple scratches I wasn't able to fully get out since they were so deep, but you can only see them at certin angles and you have to look relly hard.
But I think they came out very nice.
I'll send them back to you tomorrow.
Thanks.

All exterior! no issues inside.
Very rarely do I ever have to go inside a lense. Only in the event that a seal was broken and humidity got in,then you get alot of water spots.

Wow, that's actually pretty amazing. What's to stop them from hazing up again though? Do you apply something to the finished product? Not looking for the secret recipe, just asking it's just bare lens at the end of your process.

Just a light coat of wax every 2 weeks or so or whenever you wash your car.
Longest set of lights i did are going 2 years strong with no hazing at all.

I don't wash and wax my truck anymore:bgwb: Hence the stoneguard covers. They are pretty thick and seem to be very well made.

hcould- having done my own lenses (using a 3M kit and then several other polishing products), your work is absolutely AMAZING / SUPERIOR!!!:thumbup:
Chris- I've had the Stongard covers on for over 2 years AND I REALLY LIKE THEM.
I didn't have a heat gun back then, and just used a hair dryer so they didn't come out as well as they could have. The piece on the outer side of the horn came unglued the next day so I cut it off. Then other side did same, cut it off.
Then a pucker formed directly under the horn because I hadn't apparently applied them flat enough on the forward facing part, and dirt accumulates in it :goof:
So ------> I bought another pair (seller gave me a good discount) and now I have a heat gun and got some input from members here, and now plan on doing it RIGHT!
Even though I have some very very small air bubbles, if you step back about 4 ft, you can't even tell they're on, they just dissappear.
Despite all of the above, I just love these Stongard things for the driving conditions I have.
So now after seeing how your lights came out so awesome, I'm thinking of having hcloud do my lights, and then I'll apply my Stongards!

Mine failed in same spots. I am jusr going to cut straight across the light wheee it becomes less vertical. Have much trust in my moto skill to be making right found errors...

Isn't it interesting how the changes in automotive manufacturing techniques can generate entire new industries. 5 years ago cladding treatments were unheard of. 3 years ago headlight restoration kits were unheard of.
Thanks Detroit for helping to cure that unsightly bulge caused by too many greenbacks in my wallet.

Marlin - Roughly how much was shipping for you to and from?

I paid him 40 instead of 30, and it was like 20 bucks S&H each way. Great deal as far as I am concerned, it makes it look like a whole new truck when combined with the LineX. Would ahve looked like crap with fancy paint job, but horribly cloudy lights:(
