Hey all,
This may have been done before.( sorry newbie)
If money where no object, what would your dream engine swap be?
Just having some fun for the weekend.

I would have to pick. The Nissan GTR Twin turbo v6. Although I also like the 13 Shelby GT500 v8.
Let me know what you all would run.
Have fun with it.
Enjoy your weekend!

This is the GTR engine.
If they can fit it in a juke then a VX no sweat.

I wouldnt do an engine swap....

...I'd do a body swap.

I'd LOVE to graft a VX body to a 1973 ish...

...old school Early Bronco roller with a 302.

One day.....

What are you waiting for? You have the donor body ;)

UUUuummmm ...

...not really.

The crashed one I have has too much front end and driver side damage.

If ( when ! ) I do it..I'll look for a blown engine, rusty frame beater.... :smack:

I prefer something that can maintain AWD and is more versatile that "straight lines". ;)

Slap me a tuned out STi drivetrain in mine.

I'd love a Hemi 6.1. Torque and speed. Perfect combination.

I'd go with the 6 litre W12 from a VW Phateon; essentially a V12 squashed into the same length as a normal V6. 450 hp base, then I'd supercharge it. Then the stock transmission would explode. :) That said the Phaeton is an all-wheel-drive automatic so could even swap the transmission in theory, though that would be a huge amount of workshop time.

how difficult would it really be to put whatever engine/tranny that we want into our VX? One day our 3.5's will die. I'm gonna put a semi realistic engine down. We just got a new Mazda CX5 with their skyactive engine/tranny to replace my wife's car after it was totaled. I must say, I'm really diggin' that engine. The CX5 is actually faster than my VX with only 185 HP. But the 2.5L engine has a 13:1 compression ratio and does not require premium gas. It accelerates faster than these new turbo engines....and I'm getting 32mpg with that engine. Of course our CX5 is 900lb lighter too. I think the new CX9 will have a 3.2L and if it's as good as the CX5 2.5L, I think I'd like to put that into the VX some day. My other choice is that in 10 yrs, maybe I'll convert one of my other VX's to EV if the technology and infrastructure is finally out there.

Definitely a 1992 Bugatti EB110 engine. Depending on the model...anywhere from 600 to 900 hp. Not a chance in hell it would fit though.

Easy, the 3.6L and auto tranny from the AWD Caddy. - "3.6L direct-injection engine produces an impressive 318 HP" - Yea I'd take that
