So, I'm in the process of pulling my engine, but hit a roadblock.

Does anyone have any suggestions on pulling the engine without having to pull the transmission with it? Or am I just wasting my time trying, and should just pull both? :mado:

It's nearly impossible to pull the two top bolts to separate the two. So I'm hoping someone has a trick or two...

I'm doing this on the driveway as the eclipse is torn down in the garage. So I'm limited on time (HOA) and at the whim of this Vegas weather (pouring one minute, 100* the next)...

Pull the intake off to get at the two top bolts. This way you can also replace the intake gasket. Don't forget torque converter bolts. I made a special wrench to get at them. Good luck.

You know what, just now, I found a similar thread and you posted the same thing (must have missed it in my search). But when I read your response, I had a Homer Simpson moment. :yeso: Thank you!!! My dad and I was overthinking everything and when I told him, we just blankly stared at each other, "Like why the hell didn't we think of that!".

Well, intake manifold is off and the bolts removed! again... Thank you!! :yeso:
