Powerful Gas Smell, some dripping from back

So, lately I have a powerful odor of GAS coming from the rear of my vehicle.

I saw a small pool of gas, say 3 fl oz. total, on the ground recently, and a small drip, like an icicle in springtime coming from the under-carriage in the way back.

Could it be the O2 Sensor? The Fuel Injector? A small leak in the Gas Tank?

Not sure. . .

I recently moved to Dallas TX (near Uptown / West Village). Anyone know of a solid mechanic in / around Dallas TX who can reliably troubleshoot VX problems?

I called the garage on Ross and they said they would not service me . . . :-(

Recommendation anyone?

If its coming from the back, it would likely be something related to the fuel tank. Drop the skid plate and see if you can follow the leak. Could be a bad rollover valve or something easy like a dry rotted hose that is seeping.

Thanks Bart , that was my thought too (tank related) . . . but I can't do the work personally.

I wish I could but all my tools are back home in Wisconsin. I have real estate there, and keep everything north.

Anyone for Mechanic Advice before I *yelp* it?

If you search the Members List (starting with the "Quick Links" tab at the top of the page) by location using Dallas, TX, there are quite a few members listed in that area. Maybe you could persuade one of them who claims experience working on VX's to drop by and take a look for you? Sometimes all it takes is an offer of a cold six-pack waiting in your garage to produce such results. ;)
