Well, I found a deal on CL that I couldn't resist. These are basically brand new DuraTrac 33s and 15" rock crawler faux beadlock steelies. The only problem is my stance is now wider than Larry Craig's. I'm not sure if I'll keep them this way or end up ordering another set of rims and sell these. They look tough as hell though and they certainly would help if I ever wanted to run Hell's Gate etc. What do you guys think?

Hells Revenge can be run in a stock VX as can the gate ;)
Tires/wheels look good!

Thanks Billy!
I've run Hell's Revenge but I wouldn't want to try the Gate unless I had some tire sticking out the side to save the body and cladding if I came off the wall wrong. Not saying it can't be done just that I wouldn't want to risk the damage especially at my present skill level.

Scott,
IMHO, that's the way a VX is s'posed to look. I may be biased though:)

i say keep these. i rather my car look a bit wider than skimpy and thin. plus the VX should look mean and these wheels it look mean. but thats just what i think. woop

Miss Blue Daisy is looking more aggressive!!!
I'll let you know about the Fall trail run to BV where you can test them out.

Definitely looks a lot better than stock, but yes, just a tad bit too much offset for my likes, but doesn't look bad by any means.

Looks good, but you need to flex out the rear end and check for rub. That much rubber sticking out may cause some issues. I would guess the front may give you problems at full flex as well?

Doh! Miss Blue Daisy huh? Or Little Boy Blue?
Reminds me of the Andrew Dice Clay bit on nursery rhymes:
Little Boy Blew....
He needed the money.

I stand corrected, they are indeed MT/Rs and they are pretty damn aggressive on the road. For wheeling they will be great and I still have my stock wheels with General Grabbers I can swap anytime.

The mtr's work just fine on the road.

no hate, just my opinion. The vx looks odd like this. To each their own.

Looks great! A little more offset than I would have run, but then again mine stick out nearly that far with my cut fenders. Cant wait to see what it can do next year in Moab! :_steering

Yeah, It's about an inch and a half or two inches more offset than I would like to have. It is growing on me though. I look forward to seeing what I can do with it now. I still need to get some rock sliders though. It never end does it? :bgwb:

They were Unique Wheels Series 252 15x10.
Series 252 (http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/wheels/unique/product/submitProductSize.do;jsessionid=65626AFFF76E9927EC EB6B18366FEF01.dtd404?pc=75723&typ=Truck&tmn=252)
I say were because I found a guy who wanted to trade a set of similar steelies that are 15x8 so the offset is what I want. He also had a mounting machine to do the tire swap. So everybody's happy.
No offense to those that really like the greater offset it was just more than I wanted. I'll post pics when I get a chance.

Ya, 15"-16" steelies are the way to go for an off road rim. They're cheap so you don't care too much when they get damaged from rocks... and I think they look pretty cool too.
My Cragars were $60/each on summit racing.
