we got about a foot of snow over the last weekend here and it made me appreciate the vx all over again - performed flawlessly and was a lot of fun - just wanted to comment on how well this thing does when you can actually use the tod - completely different machine than when i just drive it on dry pavement all the time - makes me wish i lived farther north

My VX lives for the snow, it simply just endures the summers because it has to.

We got over two feet here and I went to move one of the VX's out of the driveway and it crawled right through it. You can get 'em stuck though and when you do you'll wish you hadn't 'cuz little else can get to it to help yank it out!! That's where the second VX comes into play, or I pull out the mighty F350 4x4 diesel that has the appropriate tires and posi front and rear and that gets the job done, well that and an extra-long tow strap...:slap:

When I'm up to no good I keep my uncle on speed dial! As you said, he has the F-350 and is usually out plowing his heart away when the snow falls! I love it and my second VX doesn't have the treads on it yet to pull out her sister! We only ended up with about 7-8 inches by morning but it's a start!

We got blasted on friday as well and it was soooo amazing to drive with confidence through whatever was in my way.
I even got to use 4Lo and winter mode all on the same drive.
I think my wife laughs at me when I jump at the opportunity to run out for "milk and bread" just so I can drive in it again.

I got a lot of that same snow, and it's been SLOW going for a lot of people around here. The side streets in some of the smaller towns in the area are still like skating rinks when the sun goes down, so hardly ANY kind of vehicle does very well on those, but everywhere else, not really a problem.

No snow here yet in the South of the UK but my winter tyres have been fitted and I have 'run them in' nicely for when it really turns snowy and icey.

We had a freak Ice Storm here in the Dallas area over this last weekend. For 2 days I was one of the few out playing in the ice once I chisled her out of this block of frozen water! It was a blast!

where'd you go?!
Amazon dragged my butt out to Seattle. I haven't seen snow yet. I'm sure there's some good 4 wheeling around here, but I haven't met anyone with local knowledge, yet. The only groups I've found out here seem to be the very worst of the Jeep crowd. :(
I did meet a great couple on Alki Beach with an Ironman, though!

Just got my first chance to play in more than 2" of snow....AMAZING!!! The vx handles it flawlessly. 5"+ and TOD only engages when when I goose it. Now it has turned in to freezing rain... So much for playing in 8"-10".... Still very impressed

we had bad weather again last night (snow/freezing rain) and the vx really is an impressive machine in adverse condtions - makes me want to keep it - by far the best 4wd/awd vehicle i have ever owned

We're getting another snow storm in the next few days, and I've left the VX dirty, just so I won't feel guilty when I go and play in the snow! I haven't done that in a few years. I'll try to get a picture. :)
