Just spotted one for sale on Pistonheads classified. Quite expensive and in Ireland.

Must be one of the lowest mileage cars I've seen for a while, not that many come up for sale here in the UK. I thought mine was low with 50,000 miles which is absolutely genuine.
42k kilometres is less than 30K miles, so really low mileage.

Gotta wonder how they know it drives perfectly, when they've only driven it 170 miles since he bought it 6 yrs ago???:_thinking

Good point, because when I first bought mine nothing seemed to work so I had to go about a fair bit of fettling to get it sorted, then I sold it just after all that due to a large tax bill.

It's probably priced a little high but considering how rare they are in the UK and a very low mileage one if genuine and everything worked properly would be quite desirable.

it seems like lately there are about 3 new vx's for sale every day - all for over $7k (pretty sure 7k pounds is like $13k usd) , but the only ones that sell are for like $2500!!!

You are right the advertised price is very high but having tried to trace the number of VX's in the UK and drawn a blank I'd hazard a brave and wild guess at only about 20 or so here in the UK which perhaps may justify a higher price here.

Mine was 5000 GBP and also from Ireland, strangely, but I only paid that much because it was already LPG converted. At the time I wasn't prepared to spend a lot as I was saving for a new house and in the middle of an expensive custom DeLorean project. The VX has grown on me though, willing to spend a bit more on it now to get it properly fixed / restored / upgraded.

.. 7k pounds = $11700.
( Being a Brit I keep an eye on the Sterling conversion rate  )
Given its only about 26,000 miles....
...I think its a really good price, if everything else is up to par.

According to my e-bay summary the car was sold for £4100 so I think someone got themselves a bargain. Having said that I am assuming everything was working 100%
