I'm going to terminate the PV product line, but I got a bunch of stuff I need to get rid of.

Some series 1 mufflers and some series 2 mufflers.

I've also got some Venturis and 3" X 15" mufflers/resonators.

I'm gonna have a `fire sale' anybody interested?

I was thinking of doing a dual-exhaust system. Will 2 PV 1's fit? I have one now. If not, how much of an 'old customer', wanting 2 PV 2's?

Thanks,
Dave...

What's the differences of the series 1 vs the series 2?

How much for them?

Why are you terminating th PV line?

I am going to need two new mufflers for my Jeep Truck 401 Eng but Diameter is critical as they need to be tucked under out of harms way.

Same as -x- said - my wife told me she'd get me one as a gift for the holidays so we were getting one soon anyway but will go for it now if necessary - I'm interested. Definitely want one before they're gone.

I am interested in a PV muffler and possibly the resonator, but am concerned that it may make me sound like a Euro. Does this system get very loud and would I be lowering myself to their level. I really like the uniqueness of the VX, but am not much for modifications. eharriso@hotmail.com[/EMAIL]

John, I would be interested in a series 2. I have the 1 now, but I have shelf space in my garage to store it in case I get the itch to step up to the 2. If possible, post price, contact, and availability. Thanks.

Did some research on my own, and here's what I'm seeing...

Generally speaking, the concensus seems to be that the PV2 is louder inside the cabin and out. There are some who say it is quieter inside or out too, but there are enough people who had the PV1 who say the PV2 is pretty loud that it must be louder than that PV1 they were used to. Placement seems to matter a little in that regard. Everyone says that the sound mellows out after a while so you have to give it a chance to do that. My understanding it that the PV2 is significantly smaller, somewhat lighter, and flows better. You'll probably want the Dynomat mod once you get it. I've heard both - VX1 has the PV1 and Skullcap has the PV2. To me, the PV2 is definitely louder and sounds more aggressive, but both sound great and if you have sensitive ears you may want the PV1. Neither struck me as the least bit ricey.

I have never heard the PV1 but from my experience with the PV2 is that if you have sensitive ears- don't buy it. It does take some time but it does mellow out. When its cold its pretty loud, the more you drive the better it sounds. And once I put the Supercharger on it, it changed the tone drastically and now I think it sounds absolutely awesome!

I love the sound when it starts now! All deep and throaty and loud (however not as nice as a V8 can be, but I have never heard a V6 sound as good) I can hear it start while playing cards and listening to music in my buddies house. While ideling it sounds like a big 4-wheeler I think, just "blub-blub-blub" while accelerating the only way I can explain the sound is deep gurgling.

I'm buying all of John’s stock and should be able to start shipping them out next week. Seems he has only PV1s in 3” size, really too big for use on the VX. But he does have some resonators that I think can be used as tips that will quiet the system down or be used as a free flowing muffler of sorts.
