Horn Contacts in Steering Wheel

Ever since the small accident in 2010, the horn would stay on constant so I removed the relay until I could get it looked at. I took it to a reputable service center and they said...

Labor To Diagnose Problem

*** Installed Horn Fuse And Noted Horn Contacts Sticking In Steering Wheel. Removed Drivers Side Air Bag To Inspect Powers And Grounds And Noted Soft Spot In Assembly. Will Need To Replace The Steering Wheel Air Bag As The Horn Contacts Are Inside Of The Air Bag Assembly.


I want to know... is there any truth to this? Does anyone know?

I can tell you that since I replaced my steering wheel my horn would stick on. Can be quite embarrassing eh? I did just loosen the two bolts that hold the air bag assembly to the steering wheel. This has "fixed" the issue for me.
