To Paint or not to Paint?

Getting ready to build my engine. Do you think I should paint it so it's purty when it's done? The long term plan is to sell this drivetrain in the not so distant future. If I was planning on keeping it I would try & match the color of the VX. But someone else may not want a Red engine.

Chevy never worried about it too much.

I would paint it not only to look good, but it does offer a certain amount of protection to the metal surfaces of the engine.

then you should paint it Proton, not only is it the best color. it will add 15 HP at the wheels!

I think we all know the international color for fast is RED! The color for look at me is Yellow!!:bwgy:

I actually like the idea of a foxfire engine.

Any mods I make to the Proton get a shot of Rustoleum's John Deere Yellow to make them stand out as something I've invested blood, sweat & tears on.

I suppose if I paint it foxfire. When I sell it the new owner can repaint it whatever color they want while its out.
