Lot of aspects from the VX in these Jeeps. Look at the window shapes, the hood inserts, fender flaring, etc...

Looks like I beat them to the tan on black:smack:

That lot should test the snatch straps and keep the tow trucks busy for a while.

I can't deny it, the new Jeep Cherokee is cool looking. I've seen quite a few here in Reno, and although the hind quarters are a little lack luster, the aggressive front end looks pretty cool. Still, it's no VX, but it is an interesting improvement for a Jeep.

Questions: Is it still unibody? Does it have IFS or a solid axle?

Even more important, did it go IRS like the grand cherokee

Whoa, I didn't know the Grand's were IRS. When did they do that?

I hate the squinty-eyed long front-end of the new Cherokee. The approach angle is horrible. The rest does not 'bother' me tho.
A friend in Colorado asked me, "Have you seen the new VehiCROSS? There are a couple around here now." He was referring to the Cherokee to screw with me...

This year. I fear for the future of solid axle vehicles:(

See, I like it, but only as a car, not as a rugged 4x4.

The gray "dakar (http://m.youtube.com/?#/watch?v=CSBRKqS_wJE)" has a 7 inch lift and still looks to low. It is on 33s and they modified the front to "increase approach angle".

Is 7 inches of lift????

My point exactly. From the factory speedbumps must be major "offroad" obstacles. But you can relax knowing it is "trail rated" :D

I will admit that I love the look of the Dakar. If only it was marketed by Nissan, Subaru Yota etc...

I think they said 2" of lift, not 7", but hey, 7", 2" I don't know the difference;)
