Moab 2014 Window Sticker

I mentioned this on the Moab thread, but it is/has gotten buried in the general Moab chatter.

As we have discussed before, this is the VX's 15th (XV) year at Moab and it would be great to have a window sticker that commemorated this event. We usually do a window sticker for Moab anyway, so it would be great to have the VX XV incorporated into it somehow. I haven't come up with anything yet, but I may give it a shot soon.

We're only a week and a half out so let's pull something together.

.....I just dont have time to get it together this year like usual.

But..I'd like to see a longer sticker to go at top of rear window.

But obviously with some 'artistic' improvements..!!

I do agree with Jo regarding the stickers design. Longer with dates and VX XV worked in. Most of the stickers have been in the 3-inch by 3-inch range, but something that would fit across the top of the back door window would be cool.

If I get them printed, my guy needs AI or PDF with Vector file.
If the back window banner is the choice, 22 inches wide is the
best cost effective size..
BUT, it can be any length....
....so it can cover full width of back window if wanted.

If standard 3-4 inch ones are prefered ..no problem.

I would need files preferably by Saturday morn...but Sunday night
will work at a pinch!

Let me know if my guy is needed, or if your company can do it all.

I have the contact info for the TShirt Shop. If you contact them and send them the design in advance they can whip them up and then everyone that wants one can just buy them their. Also with advance design the tshirts are cheaper by a few bucks.

For T/shirts/hoodies etc..they need certainly the / a design.


But..they have messed up the stickers before....
....printing them reversed.

I'm good with whatever others want.

My guy charges :-

4" x 22"
@1 = $7.15 each
@40 = $5.53 each


3" x 11"
@1 = $2.75 each
@40 = $2.12 each


3" x 4"
@1 = $1.32 each
@40 = $1.19 each

Which is a really good deal...
..............and made of Marine Grade yacht name material :thumbup:

Aaron finished a design last night. It features the VX XV , MOAB, and the Isuzu logo.

The attached image is a raster jpg, but if you like it, he can provide a vector pdf.

No one has commented on the design, does that mean its good to get made up into the decal?

Jo - I can send the Vector PDF to you. We don't do vinyl decals here.

I have made them before through Kinkos sign department several times, so thats a good fall back if you need.

I'm not really all that thrilled with the sticker design, but that's my opinion. Seems a little too busy to me and a bit confusing. Clever that the VX XV is superimposed on the Isuzu symbol, but not my style.

I know it was super crude, but I like Jo's idea of the sticker being wider with the years and the VX XV worked into that, but I'll go with what the masses decide.

If the 1999-2014 dates can be included inthis design..
...I think this would make a good T/shirt logo.

But I agree with Marks comments...
...a long 'top of rear window' sticker would be my preference too.

Didn't think about the T-shirt design (it's usually the window sticker made into an iron-on at the t-shirt shop in town). This design could make an interesting t-shirt design, but I also think the long window sticker idea would be a pretty cool t-shirt design too if you placed it at the top of the back of a t-shirt. Simple, clean, understated....

Not sure I would want a horizontal across the back windshield design. Especially for those guys that have a whole side window filled with the other years they went. It wouldnt fit with the group.

Definitely open to suggestions on the design.

A long decal (something different) would be great for the 15 yr Anniversary. I almost think something more VX specific is in order considering it's the XV for the VX and not ZUZOO.

If we don't come up with some more ideas, I'll take a crack at it over the weekend.

Jamas, I don't mind the decal you came up with... I would just like to see something with more VX. It's actually nice to have 2 or more decals and that way there's more choice for the T-shirts. Little logo fore the front, big logo for the back. :thumbup:

I like the idea for a rear window stickers, but I also would like to see one like previous years to add to the side windows of the truck.

Mile High's idea looks really cool and I like it a lot if it could be done for the small size sticker. Then have the window banner as well and use it on the backs of the T-shirts.

I like the first of Jon and Amy's the best.

One suggestion; since Moab is mountains and desert, maybe make mountains on one side of the VX and a desert on the other (cacti, cow skull, stone arch?). Also, maybe use the Isuzu font? http://www.fontineed.com/font/isuzu

Either way, I'm all in and I think that it would look mighty fine on the back of a t-shirt across the shoulders or the front across the chest.

My thoughts / suggestions:

Get rid of the isuzu logo. it feels very forced in the design

mimic the arch over the spare tire bump so that it can be applied in a very uniquely VX spot.

Can be done in either Red, White or Blue.
But all of each design need to be same color.

Given Red is Isuzu corporate colors...

Kinda does....but thats how all of my other ones are. I might be a "squeaky wheel" Sorry. I have several vinyl decals on my windows and they are all black. My truck is black on black on black.

it looks kinda cool when the reflection hits the window, but doesnt bounce off the decal the same.

Its an old picture before light bar and "showroom new" cladding treatment, but a good example.

I have Black on Black 3D logos...so we have similar taste :thumbup:

Many past years of doing these stickers has shown the white to be the fav..
...but I do think Red would be good this year.
