Does anyone have any specs or links to any road tests where they rated a stock VX on things like acceleration, cornering on the skid pad...etc?
I'm esp curious on the cornering specs.
Thanks,
Dave

90 @ 23.6 sec
100 @ 38.5 sec
Street rolling start
5-60 mph - 8.6 sec
Top gear acceleration
30-50 mph 4.6 sec
50-70 mph 5.9 sec
Standing quarter-mile 16.9 sec @ 81 mph
Top speed (governor-limited) 115 mph
BRAKING

Understeer - minimal
Turning radius: 34.1 ft
INTERIOR SOUND LEVEL

You're welcome, and I'm sorry for the delayed response. It was taken from a road test article in Car and Driver magazine. I won it on eBay and only have the pages from the article itself, not the entire issue, so I'm not certain exactly which one. I posted a partial list of stats from it that I thought you'd be interested in because of the nature of your question (not sure why I added in the interior noise numbers, but oh well). I also substituted the braking distance data with a number from an article in Petersen's 4-Wheel & Off-road (online?) magazine, which provided a 60-0 mph number. For some reason Car and Driver publishes a 70-0 mph number instead of the standard 60-0, so I opted for the 60-0.
Sorry the bottom part looks a bit jumbled...
To add something to the previous information:
Transfer gear ratios
Hi 1.00:1
Lo 2.48:1
Basically the jumble I posted before goes like this - you have each gear, and what the gear ratio is in that gear. Then there is the speed attained in Hi (H) and Lo (L) at 1,000 RPM while in that gear. On the far right are the maximum test speeds for L and H in that gear, and the RPM at which they were achieved.
So for instance, in 3rd gear we know that the:
1. gear ratio is 1.00
2. speed in 3rd gear L was 7.9 mph @ 1,000 RPM
3. speed in 3rd gear H was 19.7 mph @ 1,000 RPM
4. max speed in 3rd gear L was 49 mph @ 6200 RPM
5. max speed in 3rd gear H was 115 mph @ 5850 RPM

It sure feels better than 0.75g in the corners! Those of you with the bigger sway bars and/or polyurethane bushings - is it worth the expense?
