I have a 2001 VX and my ABS light came on, so I took it to a mechanic and he reset it and less then a day it came back on again. When I start it up, the light is off, but a few miles down the road it comes back on. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix the problem. Thanks so much. Nancy

Here's a good place to start:

I had mine rebuilt and it took care of my light and it operates perfectly...cost me about a hundred and a week of driving without the electrics for the ABS.

Who did you have rebuild yours?

I took the light bulb out and I like the braking better without ABS.

It started coming on and going off intermittently and then just stayed on...common problem and usually the electric portion of the ABS module is to blame.
i took a chance and removed it, leaving the silver part with the brake lines intact, and sent it off to TN for a rebuild.
6 days later it was back in and no more ABS light and it works perfectly.
