Axles service (synthetic diff. lubes)

Just wondering what brand of synthetic gear lubricant do you use in your VX’s differentials? What SAE grade?
My axles service is almost due. I stopped by at AutoZone today and got Mobil1 Synthetic Gear Lubricant 75W-90. Any thoughts on this? Does anyone use Mobil1 or you guys prefer other brands?

I've had 75W90 Mobile 1 in both front and rear axle diffs for going on 1000 miles and haven't had one lick of problem...recommended.

You can also get away without using the rear LSD additive with some Synthetics, and Mobile 1 seems to do the trick.

See your manual (or search here as it has been discussed several times) for weights to be used depending on temps to be experienced - Isuzu specs different weight front and rear. A number of us in TX use 75-140W that has the widest temp differential but would probably be too much for the far north.

I saw my manual. Manual recommends regular (not even synthetic) 80W-90 gear lubricant for both r&f axle, and 75W-140 + friction modifier only in rear axle with limited slip if vehicle equipped with “Towing package” class III or IV and/or heavy cargo load and transport expected. My vehicle does not equipped with towing options and I do not transport heavy stuff in my cargo. I assumed viscosity grade 75W-90 would be absolutely enough. I wondered if Mobil1 is OK and just curious on what you VX owners prefer to use in your diffs.

Amsoil, nothing better. And I still used LSD. That way, Isuzu can't blame me for any problems, if somehting breaks.

Good point - should have ignored. Maybe he’ll put Isuzu LSD additive in his rear end...
