Transmission from a Rodeo?

Is this information correct? I read that a 98+ rodeo transmission will fit the Vehicross? I know they come with the 3.2 vs the 3.5. Can any one sound in on this if the know or have the info. Thanks guys.

If the plugs on the side of the transmission are the same and the input shafts are the same, it'll work, ONLY IN A '99. Most of the transmissions in the 2000 are slightly different and all of the 2001 VX transmissions are different than the '99.

Side note: the Rodeo trans is much weaker.

Ok so since Im running an 01 Vehicross its a different tranny? But if my vehicross was an earlier year 99 then it would.

Bummer, thanks for the info.
Can you check and or add any thing to this list I have? Ive read thru here and planet and I have a short list of transmissions that fit.

Thanks for the offer Jo ,but a bit steep for my current budget. Im actually hoping to get one, do a rebuild while Im still in Seattle and then ship it back to Hawaii with me when we move. My Vehicross is on the Big Island and Im getting my parts while Im on the Mainland. I barter a lot and I think I can get it done for some Tattoo work.

I just emailed you. I didnt see it though till I read your post. I barter as much as I can. Its fun and I end up with some cool ****. And if it just my time doing art then its no loss.
I have tons of extra parts for my Toyota Van but nothing for my Vehicross.

Ok I found a 2000 Trooper they are parting out. I emailed and text about the transmission but no word yet. According to my list, this Troopers transmission should fit. Can anyone verify this please?

before getting the tranny 4L30e - check the plug for main connector- rodeo and troopers late years were using round connector for valve body

Can anyone post a pic of the Connecter for the Valve body from the Vehicross please? I want to go look at a transmission but wanna dbl check as my Vehicross is in Hawaii and Im in Seattle.

Also can any recommend a good rebuild kit? I see a few online and on Ebay. Any one have any experience with any of the sets?

I would really like to go 5 speed but i worry if Ill be able to collect all the parts needed for the assembly once back in Hawaii.
