Any opinions on mounting hi- lift jack to hood?

I think it looks like poo...no mater what the vehicle. I think it looks much better mounted on a roof rack/basket of inside.
Do yo have a lift point on your VX (rock sliders, hitch etc.)?

You think? Okay well I have 2 9 inch lights on my bumper and 4 9 inch lights on the roof plus the high jack lift may be a bit ridiculous. No I don't is the problem. I'm getting it mostly to use as a winch. And I think you can buy a kit that that straps to the tire which will obvious raise from that point.

Roof rack or across front bumper would be my choice.

Yeah idk I like it but I don't. Yeah I have considered across my bumper. Btw if you don't mind me asking how much did your bumper cost? It's much nicer than mine.

Thats a bit tough to quantify...

After making a wooden template to make sure I could properly modified it...
....I purchased a stock Toyota rock bumper.
Then got a used WAAG brush guard from e-Bay that I chopped down....
...and welded to the top for light guards .

Lots of time..cutting..bending...and my crappy spot welding.
Fab up entire new bracket set up.....
....then prof welding to complete.

To do it now..it would be about $1500....just for parts..not incl labor.

Quotes I got to have one similar made ranged from $1850 - $2400

You need to post some pics of your rig
