Anyone have Hitch for sale or do we still have any contacts then can make one? I am buying a jetski an would rather have the VX tow it than have to buy another truck. What is the heaviest anyone has towed with the Vx it will only be for a 5-10 mile trip to the Docks. But may also consider a smaller boat.

a 2000 +/- sports car from Arizona to PA with no problems except extra oil burning. I have the Curt hitch that mounts to the frame and pretty easy to insta I bought for under $200 brand new.

Here ya go...

Curt Hitch ( with f/glass skid plate fitted )
Curt hitch sit below back lower cladding...and bolts to frame.

...

Lower cladding needs to be removed for fitting.

It also makes a GREAT rear end protector....
...been bumped twice with no damage

And if you go off road...it protects the gas tank plate etc as well.

I havent yet...mine has been more about rear protection for Rock crawling.

J how did ya wire it up?

But....I will wire mine via the rear tail light harness on Drivers side...
...and keep plug & wires for trailer in wheel jack compartment.
( Kudos to Tom for that good idea IIRC)
Then just run them out through bottom seal of back door.. when required.

FYI....Thats not my VX...just a clearer pic than I have of my hitch.

I believe U-Haul fits the Curt and will do the wiring...
....not sure how much though.

Cheers

jo

Got it on ebay from Curt supplier. I tried to do it myself. Not too hard but need a second person which I did not have. I seem to remember everything matched up quite well

They can wire up without cutting. Only problem be careful walking around at first. Real shin busters
