TOD output shaft "play"

TOD was leaking from the front output shaft. Ordered a new seal and after taking the driveshaft off I noticed there is a little bit of play in the flange. I can wiggle it a bit. Any idea if that is normal? If not, what might be a solution?

It's the flange that holds the front driveshaft if that helps.

Send LittleBeast a PM. IIRC, he was working on front prop shaft issues last year.

The "play" should be in rotations. If you are talking about extension and retraction the "play" is minimal at best. I would say 1mm in or out, but the rotational play, there is quite a bit.

Ah, thank you. It just didn't feel solid like the transmission side. The new seal is in and buttoned up and currently not leaking so I'm hoping the minimal movement you mentioned is inconsequential.
