I'm interested in buying Jay Dunford's Supercharger but not sure about a aftermarket supercharger and the Smog laws in California.
What I can gather is it will fail the visual inspection since it's not CARB Certified (California Air Resources Board). It seems that it will pass if I find the right Smog station...
Can any one offer some advice.
The worst scenario, is to take it off when I have to have it smog and put it back on when it passes.

Two solutions...
Yes...find a smog station that will pass it...
..they are more concerned with air filter and emissions...so its doable.
I may be able to help...I have a smog place in Pacific Beach that
( depending on who is working!).. is pretty cool with reasonable mods.
Assuming youre in this area !
Second, and easy proper option.
Take it to a California State garage and get an exempt sticker..
They look/maybe test..and put a sticker on the non OEM parts that
viewable... or give you a letter.
I have an exempt letter from them for my exhaust...
...as OEM are not available.

I found the solution! You must have a an EO#(executive order number) assigned to your aftermarket supercharger from the state of California.

It seem the SA Alpine Development Inc. has one with the state, #D-551
Gotta love Google!
