Hello,

My name is Greg and I'm new to the forum. I have an extensive background in electronics, including auto electronics. I'm aware that the VX has a known issue with the gas gauge being erratic or "jumpy".

I'm looking for someone who has this problem and is sure or has determined that it is not the fuel sending unit in the tank.

I would like to attempt to repair it and if successful, will write up a "how to".

There is no charge for this - just shipping back.

Anyone interested please PM me or email: gbalsley@att.net

Greg

It was a simple fix for me. Pulled the gauge cluster out and behind the fuel gauge on the board there was a tiny screw that was barely hanging on by 1 or 2 threads, tightened it down and the problemo was fixed.
