My old grapplers are about worn out. I currently have the 285/60/18 Grapplers on stock rims which required that I shave off a little bit of the cladding at the front of the wheel well. I was going to just buy new ones when I saw that Nitto now has a G2 version.
The price difference is marginal, so I would like to go with the G2's. But I am worried they might be too big given the original grapplers were so tight. Nobody local to me has them in stock so I can check for fitment, I'll have to order online. Has anyone already tried them to see if they fit?

is the 285-60 a 33 inch tire?

I dunno. I couldn't find the specs of the original terra grappler on the nitto website.
I found the G2's specs and the diameter is 31.46" inflated.
I found the specs for LT version of the original grappler and it is 31.50.
But from eyeballing the photos, it looks like the shape of the G2 might be wider at the outer edge which could be a problem when turning.

Eventually i'll be getting the Nitto's in a 30.5". Hoping there will be no rubbing so I dont have to trim or cut anything.

For future reference, I went ahead and bought the 285/60/18 Grappler G2s and they seem to fit just as well as the originals. I did not need to shave any more off the cladding than I already had.
