tl/dr; I need a recommendation for some bodywork (front and back) in Northern California/Bay Area. Willing to travel!

Hey gang-

It's been a LONG time since I posted on here, but it's been even longer since I first took ownership of my proton yellow 2000 Vx. First owner and still going strong. I will have to dig out my collection of photos from trips and locales and share.

Recently, some cuss-head rear ended us while stopped at a light and knocked us into the car in front of us. No one was hurt (most important) but the hood/front and rear were banged up to the point where I'd like someone who knows Vx's and where to source parts to take the lead on fixing her up. She's still in excellent shape. Could use a tune up and some general maintenance as well.

Does anyone know a good shop in the Bay Area or Northern California that could do the work?

Much obliged,
ProtonVx687

Gotta run with a step bar in the back. Ask Jo. ;)

Any pics of damage? Might help to assess the amount of work involved.

@SuperVXer : will definitely check out the step bar. Link?

I have all the pics. AND the pics of the other car which is MUCH worse off. Go solid Isuzu.

@Lizardmen3477 : that's almost exactly what I need. Although now I'm looking into the step bar too. Heh.

@ipd: Thank you for the link! That super bar seems super smart. Also liked the light guards on one of the pics there. Sexy.

Finally got the check back from the adjuster. Turns out the other guy's insurance was bogus, so my "uninsured motorist" kicked in. This is not the first time this has happened to me (just first time on my Vx). I hate getting hit from behind! One of my favorite things about the Vx is how maneuverable it is, and it suits my driving style of "getting out of the way." Nothing to do when legally fully stopped at a light. Well maybe not nothing...

Now that the insurance phase is over, it may be time to start a build thread. I've kept my girl pretty clean up till now, but that "superbar" may open the door for a full brush guard, light guards, superbar, general PM, etc.

My shop is checking that all internals are ok, then need to find bodyshop, and start ordering parts. Still would be nice to have a Vx specialist up here in the Bay Area.

@Lizardmen3477 - probably PM you this week if I need to ship out parts. Working on the list now.
