Sounds like a $500 VX and if you wait you might get it for that, if they try and sell it, it will be the same deal with someone else and what are the chances a local person will even come and look at it? If they list it on CL or Ebay I hope someone will flag it or post a buyer beware about it so some poor sucker does not buy it sight unseen.

Well, after I passed on this it has now found its way to Madison Wisconsin. Guy selling it says he's selling it for someone (Dropped it off yesterday) but won't let you call the owner. Doesn't start (did when I saw it, after adding 4-5 quarts of oil) but does turn over, says it needs a fuel pump :winko: But then again it's RARE!!!!!

Yep, the "little" one doesn't have a title and needs a radiator, Diagnosed even though he can't open the hood. When I was able to get the "offroad" one started it was a POS. Missing front driveshaft, neither windows would operate, couldn't turn the wheel 1/4 without front end hop, had to "wiggle" the key just right to unlock it and when I went back the next day to make a deal most of the oil I put in was on the asphalt.....but then again it has a roof rack

So if he put time into it, he'd have 1 possibly good VX, and a parts car. lol.

Maybe, depends on the condition of the other one. But then again its hard to make that decision if you cant open the hood. Also doesn't help that the guy selling can't tell you a damn thing about them. All he says is "selling for someone else, just got dropped off yesterday".
When I looked at Nerve_gas' VX last year it was in ROUGH shape. Then I read in a post he was in a bad accident, also sounded like he was pretty rough on it (offroad). The more I think about it the more I feel I dodged a bullet, even as a parts car.
