Today i put 4x 194 LED bulbs in my gauge cluster. LOVE IT. Should probably have gone with purple...but still, I like it.

Does anyone have a write-up on how to replace the bulb in the gear shift? I'd like to make it match.

p.s.
If anyone wants a set of the OEM stuff with the rubber covers, let me know.

I've been incredibly lazy. I never took pics. I just purchased a 10 pack of UV bulbs off Amazon, and I've got 6 installed so far (horn lights, front bumper lights, license plate lights). I need to get into the gauge cluster tomorrow and replace the rest.

I got the bulb out of the shifter, but it's a tiny one, not like the others. Need to research it. TSD 74 it says.

Need to also know if the climate controls also have 74 bulbs. Anyone know? Was thinking of ordering a 10 pack of 74's...

ok. Here's what I snapped today. I'm finding that the UV bulbs I got aren't quite as bright as the blue. They're not bad...but not what I'd hoped for as far as brightness goes.

Neither the purple nor the blue seems to get the brightness right. Could be just the image.

Well there is light in the garage windows, and the color accuracy is a bit off...so it wouldn't surprise me. With the blue, it can always be dimmed a bit; that pic was at full bright. The purple is a bit dim at full bright...but that's not bad. Apart from getting an accurate "purple" around the edges of the TOD and washing out a bit by the fuel/temp gauges...it's great. The gear indicator/ODO are perfectly lit with the purple.

I'd be willing to swap out for higher wattage purple bulbs...but I'm not sure what LED are going to be brighter AND fit in the stock holes.
