It's been brought my attention that we have picked up a bug. I can assure you that we do not do this kind of activity.
Therefore, I'm shutting down the taking in of new accounts until further notice. I'll advise about updates as I can. Thank you for your patience.

Thanks for your hard work Scott!
google.com has this site blacklisted...and it was shut down for a week. that hurts. this site is already on life support.

We have cleared the blacklist and Google has scanned the site with no signs of infection so we should be good to go. The life support is the members. What do we need to bring it back to life?

That's a good question. I really don't know why the old forum look/form/function was "Better" or perhaps it was just a critical mass of users that made it more compelling to visit and partake in etc. The forum is such a valuable resource to VX owners and created a tight sense of community. The FB group has taken the flow of VX info but as a forum it just really lacks in content. If we could increase the usage here perhaps we could meet that critical mass again. This will take a concerted effort among a group of core users. I fear if the effort is not taken or fails to increase traffic substantially the forum will fail with it.
Agree? Disagree? Willing to make the effort? Do you think it's worth it?
Scott
well i'm here until i'm dead or my vx is....whichever comes first. :p

Thanks for bringing the site backup as quickly as you did! I haven’t been on the site that long, or even owned my VX that long. I would hate to loose such an invaluable resource. Thanks again!
it looks like the "my file store" glitch is also gone?

The how to section was incredibly helpful. It would be great if that can be revived.
I take that back. "myfilestore" is stlll giving a bogus redirect.

Your computer is almost certainly the problem for that issue...not this website. Try another anti-virus and do a boot-scan (if you haven't done either already).
It's not. It's just this website. And the 2nd time I click on a link to here, it works fine. Plus, I'm not the only person who has these issues.
p.s.
My internet security suite is always up to date. I am very meticulous about the health of my computers.

Just FYI, I checked with the guys at NetCom (guys in charge of army network). The filestore thing is the reason this site is now blocked on all DOD computers. At least according to the guy I talked too. I figured once the site was good with google it would be good with them too. Nope.

I'm having the same issues with myfilestoredotcom redirects. Regardless of where I'm coming from. I've clicked on links from facebook, google and even manually typed the forum address and it would randomly redirect to myfilestore. When closing the tab/browser and trying it again, it would come to the forums as normal. Googling "myfilestore redirect vbulletin (https://www.google.com/search?q=myfilestore+redirect+vbulletin&oq=myfilestore+redirect+vbulletin&aqs=chrome..69i57&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8)", it seems this is a pretty common issue with plugin exploites and/or sql injections.

I've never had a file redirect from this site. That would imply it's related to OS or the calling computer, don't you think? FWIW, I've always kept after security too. I still run boot-scans every few months and have seen infections get past the daily/online shield(s). AFAIK, adware can react specifically too each site.

True, but DOD says it’s the site as not any of the government computers. They blocked the site because of potential infection, though they didn’t comment if any systems were infected and I know better than to ask.

Over the last month or so, I've also seen the redirect using a couple of different pieces of hardware which had nothing in common location-wise.
That's what I'm saying. It's site-side. It's not client-side. I know that's the knee-jerk response anytime someone has an issue...but that's simply not the case here.

What OS and browser are you using? I'm trying to recreate your problem.

After running some tests today, the filestore only comes up when clicking through links such as google or from FB. It hasn’t happened yet when coming to the site from my favorites menu.
I get it via redirects from subscription emails from this forum. When I click on the link for the thread that has a new post, I get the redirect. I have to click on the link again to get to the actual site.

I have email notifications disabled. However I find using google to search the site more efficient than using the search feature. The filestore comes up, I close the tab, click the link again and it’s fine for 10 or so minutes, then it returns.

Happened again, clicking a shared link from facebook.

I'm sorry for the delay in getting the redirect issue addressed. I believe it is solved now. Test it out for me please and let me know if you have problems.
had it just a minute ago from my email linking here.

I just googled Vehicross forum and clicked that link. Got the filestore page.
