So, awhile back, I did the Moncha Hella Micro DE fog light conversion, sweet. I wanted to take advantage of the HID's that Littlebeast found with Joesph at xenonrider.com, even sweeter. They don't fit. You have to apply, ah,... "adaptive engineering". Wasn't sure what I was going to do since there was no way of capturing the HID bulb in the light fixture. So, when in doubt, drink some plonk. (British for cheap affordable wine)
First thing, remove the clip that normally holds the normal H3 bulb in place, it is of no use.

After that, I removed the male bayonet terminal connector that came with the HID from xenonrider and then pulled the wires thru the rubber grommet. I replaced them with female bayonet terminal connector's. The one I used on the red, hot wire was protected. This will connect to the green wire on the plug from the light relay. COuld of spliced to orginal plug but wanted a positive connection.

I cut a 1 inch hole in the back of the rubber cap. The rubber gromment that comes with the HID's will fit nicely into this, espically when you RTV it along with the two holes that the wires you removed were going thru.

Now comes the,...ah, ... adaptive engineering. Since there is no way to capture the HID bulb, had to improvise, adapt, overcome. What I did was use friction tape. Would of used vinyl tape which is stickier, but was worried about heat. So I fed thru the two wires on the HID bulb so the 4 ends would be at 90 degrees from each other on the fog light casing which I had cleaned with rubbing Alcohol. I then did a friction tape wrap around the ends to hold them in place since friction tape will stick to it's self and trimmed the ends. Then I slipped the rubber cap over the end of the fog light casing to also hold the tape in place. I also RTV'ed the grommet to the cap to seal off any leaks.

Am sure it will work fine and last a long time and is a easy mod to Moncha original Hella Micro DE mod.
